Horsing Around accepts most major payment methods both through our website or by post. Listed below are the accepted payment methods for online and postal payments:

    Payment Methods Not Accepted

    Please note that Horsing Around does not support the following payment methods either online through our website or by post:

  • Discovery
  • Diners Club
  • Electron
  • Maestro
  • Postal Orders not issued in the UK
  • Cheques not in British Sterling or US Dollars



    Payment Validation Checks & Authorisation

    All credit and charge card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If you are an overseas customer occasionally your card issuer will not authorise a transaction without authorisation from you the card holder. We will notify you if this is the case, but don't worry this is a standard security procedure by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.



    Entering Credit & Debit Card Information

    Horsing Around uses an advanced Internet security system to safeguard your data. Therefore the card details and type must be entered exactly as they are on your card in order to be accepted. If there is an error in the way you have entered your payment details you will be shown an error message once you click on the 'Place Your Order' button. Please check your form and rectify the error as indicated in the error message. Once this is completed you will be able to proceed with payment and completion of your order by clicking on the 'Place Your Order' button again.



    Frequent Mistakes

    When entering your card details please ensure that you check the following:

  • You have entered the correct card type (eg Mastercard, Visa, Switch)
  • You have entered the card number, the longest number on the card, correctly
  • You have used the correct cardholders name
  • You have entered the expiry and valid from dates incorrectly

    Switch Cards & Issue Numbers

    When using a Switch card please enter the long payment number (the longest number displayed in the centre of the card, not the smaller account number at the base of the card.)

    You need only enter an issue number for a Switch card. If your Switch card has no issue number, like some Royal Bank of Scotland cards, then type in a dash "-".

    Shopping at Horsing Around is safe and to date no customer has reported fraudulent use of his or her credit or debit card as a result of purchases made through our website.     When will I be charged?

    We do not believe in charging for an item until it is ready for despatch. Once your order is ready to be processed by our warehouse for depatch, we will debit your nominated card, or accept your PayPal payment, you have submitted.




    Who pays VAT?

    Please Note that countries within the European Union will be subject to VAT (Value Added Tax) which currently is set at 17.5%. These EU countries are:
